Innovation Fund 2011 - Call for Poverty Focused Proposals

CEPA is a service provider offering a combination of research, advisory, training and dialogue services to organisations and professionals working towards understanding and reducing poverty. CEPA’s Innovation Fund was set up to encourage initiatives that adopt an original approach to addressing the issue of poverty. The Fund, which is in its tenth year of operation, is financed through a 2% contribution from CEPA’s annual service fees. It has supported 31 initiatives to date. This call is to invite submission of proposals to the Innovation Fund for 2011.

 

A workshop providing guidelines on proposal preparation will be held on 28 October 2011. Please register for the workshop with the Co-ordinator, Innovation Fund, before 21 October 2011. Registrations by e-mail will also be accepted at the email address given below. Please note that attending the above workshop is not a prerequisite for submission of proposals.

 

Closing date for submission of proposals is 18 November 2011. Please contact the Co-ordinator to obtain the application form, which should be attached to the proposal

Intensive Training: Qualitative Research Methods

CEPA is offering a 3-day Intensive Training on Qualitative Research Methods in January 2012 based in Colombo. The training will provide theoretical and practical knowledge for those who would like to carryout qualitative research or further improve their qualitative research skills. The training is designed for development practitioners and social science researchers who have an interest in learning or improving their qualitative research skills.

CEPA’s 45th Open Forum titled Poverty: “Vulnerable Groups and Land Rights in the North” will be held on Thursday 16th at 4.30 pm at Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International relations and Strategic Studies, No. 24 Horton Place, Colombo 7, Sri Lanka.
