Linking Spaces: promoting alternative discourse amongst youth

Linking Spaces is a series of discussions organised by the Centre for Poverty Analysis, to connect youth groups across Sri Lanka on one platform. The series aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and perceptions on key thematic issues such as ethnic reconciliation, employment opportunities and education amongst youth in Sri Lanka. We are currently calling for representatives from youth groups in the Colombo, Kalutara and Gampaha districts to participate in the first discussion forum of the series, which will take place on the 11th of February 2012.  

 

 
Training Workshop on Poverty Measurement and Analysis

The Centre for Poverty Analysis (CEPA), in collaboration with the Poverty and Economic Policy (PEP) Research Network, is organising a training workshop on Measuring and Analysing Poverty from 20-24 February 2012, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. 

The workshop aims to provide participants with an intensive training on some of the most updated methodologies and tools for policy analysis in the field of development economics. The training is available to researchers, practitioners and students who are interested in carrying out rigorous analysis of issues related to poverty.

43rd Open Forum on Poverty

CEPA’s 43rd Open Forum titled Poverty: UNDERSTANDING POVERTY: A case study of multidimensional poverty among Samurdhi welfare recipients in Badulla District, Sri Lanka, will be held on Thursday August 25, 2011 at 4.00 pm at Centre for Poverty Analysis (CEPA), Sri Lanka.
