This review is an effort for policy makers to understand the links between macro adjustment policies and their micro impact and the transmission mechanism of growth among different income and social groups. The main objective of this study was to catalogue some of the macro econometric and Computable General Equilibrium Models developed for the Sri Lankan economy during the last 20 years. It also details a review of models chosen on the basis of their relevance to the objectives of the MIMAP project. This includes a summary of the models, methodology, theirdevelopment, objectives of model development, strengths and weaknesses with respect to systems, dynamics and expectations of the models, usage, and policy implications of the models.
