The Hector Kobbekaduwa Agrarian Research and Training Institute (HARTI) has been the premier organization in Sri Lanka in terms of policy analysis, socio-economic research and training pertaining to the development of the agrarian and rural sectors. For the fourth consecutive time HARTI presents its annual events of dissemination of research findings of the studies conducted during 2013 at its annual symposium. Findings of 21 research studies are presented this year and it includes research studies covering resource conservation and management, marketing, value addition, technological adoption, crop diversification, agro-tourism, dairy farming, efficient use of natural resources, study on socio-economic impact of chronic kidney disease of unknown etiology etc.
