This article highlights the changes taken place in educational institutes where education has developed into very profitable money making business and teachers have lost their identity as servers and thereby lost a great value-based civilization. He also critically looks at Western norms where trends are moving faster towards western dominated, materialistic, competitive and exploitative objectives and mechanisms. ‘The relationship between man and nature, man and man, man and society lack the spirit of mutual respect, love and cooperation as humans are driven by desire for power and wealth.
