The aim of this global project was to examine how certain national MDGs (Millennium Development Goals)/anti-poverty agendas and programs in the economic south affected the implementation of policies and programs specific to SRHR (Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights) and gender equality goals. Research was conducted in three developing countries where capacities, structures and socio-cultural and political dynamics hugely varied, namely Mexico (Latin America), India (South Asia) and Nigeria (Africa). Designed as policy oriented research, the country studies had an additional objective of building the knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and rights advocates at both national and global levels.
