This volume contains newspaper articles and reports dealing with the almost impossible task of finding solutions to the problem of illegal immigration within a traditional security perspective. These reports and opinions have served two purposes. First, it highlights the fact that the various actions of pushing people in and out, constitutes serious violations of the rights of immigrant workers, non-state people, rights against racist abuse and discrimination, or against violation of the rights to dignity and rights of the child and the women. Secondly, this publication generates an informed debate on the obligations of the states and the international community under the established international human rights and humanitarian laws that are meant for the protection of individuals against such abuse. It questions the ways in which the tribune of justice can be invoked in order for the laws to respond to the misery of these no-where people.
