The Asian Development Bank initiated the City Cluster Economic Development Programme to promote sustainable economic growth and increase local incomes and jobs by making business environments attractive to investors and developers. The findings highlight that rubber and latex, IT, and garment industrial clusters are viable options for local economies in the country. The report provides an overview of economic planning development policies adopted by the government to support economic development of cities, encourage investment and thereby create employment.
