At the convention held in Bhutan on Gross National Happiness and Development, representatives from 18 countries presented their expert studies on the GNH. The papers discuss how far GNH is rooted in the Buddhist way of life and broad philosophical and moral implications have contributed towards cultures and societies outside of Bhutan. The article highlights how the GNH economy differs from other economic structures, how it is applied in terms of governance, and how GNH can be applied in action? These articles from foreign and Bhutanese representatives are presented in two categories under GNH: Social and Economic Development and GNH: Buddhism and Human Development.
