This study provides information about the food patterns of the people in rural, urban and estate sectors. By researching into the rural, urban and estate sectors, dietary habits, one can ascertain whether or not these habits are nutritious and beneficial. The malnutrition rate of children under five years in rural areas is 30 percent, hence the timely nature of this study. The findings and recommendations of this study would be very useful to uplift the local food production and to increase the nutritional intake to build a healthy nation while retaining our valuable foreign exchange within the country.
