This anthology covers a diverse range of issues that analyze the reasons and possible solutions of the six “Fs” crisis facing the South Asian region and Pakistan in particular. The six “Fs” referred to are food, fuel, fiscal and frontiers crises, as well as functional democracy and fragility of climate. This collection focuses on multi-dimensional, locally applicable, regionally replicable mechanisms and strategies that can serve as catalysts for positive and sustainable change for the future. The consequences of drastic changes in climate in the form of the depletion of natural resources and loss of local traditional adaptive capacity are looked at with suggestions on how governments must adopt policies that would have a positive effect on the population. The articles presented are on Asian countries from Nepal, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
