Each individual chapter of this book stands on its own, and can be read as an independent article or as a continuum of the book. UNFPA, Sri Lanka, and the Centre for Women’s Research (CENWOR) compiled these monographs to draw attention to various aspects of gender-based violence in Sri Lanka, which include constitutional rights, laws, national policies, health implications, and socio cultural norms. This book is dedicated to the memory of KamaliniWijayatilaka, for her commitment towards ending gender-based violence and promote gender equality in Sri Lanka.
