This report presents the procedure and findings of the Impact Assessment Study of the Matale Regional Economic Advancement Project (M-REAP), conducted using reports, documents, field survey, observation, interviews and participatory rural appraisals. The project objective takes into consideration the issues associated with poverty. The expected outcome and the impact of the project reveal that the sustainable livelihood approach is used to design its activities with a direct focus on poverty while improving the conditions under which livelihood of the beneficiaries could be improved for sustainability.
