This publication is an introduction to mental health for nurses, engaged in field of mental health in Sri Lanka. It intends to educate trainee nurses working in mental health services mainly at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and Mulleriyawa hospital. It talks about mental health and systems of care, mental health nursing, violence and distributed behavior and approaches in nursing practices. This book is based on the Workshop held between 2007 and 2010 by few identified institutions including National Institute of Mental Health in Angoda.
