The study 'Judicial Barometer. South Asia' is jointly carried out by Law and Society Trust (LST) and the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) on migration workers in South Asia. Forum-Asia and LST strongly consider that economic and social progress, and sustainability in South Asia depend greatly on assurance of the rule of law. With a view of documenting various challenges faced by South Asian regions, and thereby, hold governments accountable, a series of studies have been published titled 'Judicial Barometer'. This particular study focuses on the aspects of Migrant workers, risks, protection, policy of migrant workers across the South Asian region. In additon, the study focuses on legal and institutional frameworks, governing foreign labour migration, migration rights etc. The Sri Lanka study on 'Organising for an Effective Legal Framework for Sri Lankan Workers' has been authored by Devaka Gunawardena.
