This study report presented by the Ministry of Healthcare and Nutrition is of a research study undertaken for the Annual Health Forum, 2007. The main objective of this study was to assess quality, efficiency and equity of the services provided by public hospitals in Sri Lanka. Three tertiary level public hospitals, namely, Anuradhapura, Hambantota and Nuwara Eliya, were purposively selected for this study.
