This publication is a proposal to a project which was identified by the Citizens Welfare Development Foundation (CWDF) to alleviate poverty in the plantation sector. It aims to introduce organic farming to the sector as well as to provide further assistance to enable the plantation workers to undertake organic farming to grow vegetables etc. By initiating this project, the ultimate goal is to provide the workers with nutritious food at low cost and moreover help them to increase their income by allowing them to sell the excess vegetables.
