This publication focuses on youth issues from the perspective of political and social exclusion. Youth issues have grown to be rather prominent in Sri Lanka in the few decades after independence. Education, youth aspirations and economics opportunities are considered important factors that contribute to this, and require careful analysis. The rise of youth radical movements post independence Sri Lanka have pointed to the fact that the countries youth were disillusioned with the status quo. Hence this study examines the steps that need to be taken to combat youth exclusion and gives us a collective understanding on the issue.
