This research work is aimed at investigating the performance enterprise-based apprenticeship courses conducted by NAITA. This study is prepared for sectional benefits and also to meet the requirements of the selection criteria of the proposed Research Cell. The research was carried out by a group of NAITA officials. There are three categories of training under enterprise-based apprenticeship, namely, craft level, village level and situation level. Of these, craft level is the most important category of apprenticeship training. Realizing this, the research study was carried out to investigate the efficiency of the Enterprise-Based Craft Apprenticeship training programme. The efficiency of the training was measured in areas such as selection procedure, training delivery, trade testing procedure and the certification procedure. This study is to enable the requirement and outputs used to iron out the short comings. Recommendations in this report address future development in the apprenticeship training.
