The principle objectives of the study were to survey the health situation and the incidents of ill-health in the community through a sample of households representing the variations in socioeconomic, demographic, and environmental conditions and to identify the relations and interactions between the socioeconomic, demographic and environmental characteristics of the household on the one hand, and their health situations, on the other.
