Thé Kahata, produced by the Centre for Policy Alternatives is photographic documentation by the members of the Up Country Tamil community. The compilation of photography is a testimony to the everyday hardships experienced by the estate workers. Despite the contribution made by the plantation community to the lucrative tea industry of Sri Lanka, voices of the workers often go unheard and their potential unrecognised. The featured photographs were captured by youth belonging to plantation families in the Badulla and Nuwara Eliya Districts, who received technical knowledge and understanding in photography as well as to explore their skills and talent through a series of workshops.  The Tamil version is also available
