The Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, initiated the programme ‘Vision for Sri Lankan Youth’ to create an opportunity for young men and women of different social backgrounds, to become aware of the current situation and trends at local and international level, and further allow them the chance to realize how they can contribute to the social and economic development of the country. The main objective of this programme is to encourage the youth to share their ideas and views relating to the spheres of political culture, media responsibility, self-development and social behavior in Sri Lanka. Thereafter, these suggestions will be used to influence and shape future policies. The final report of this conference has been published in this volume and available in the three languages.
