This is the 22nd publication on retail prices of selected commodities in Colombo District. This is in addition to the “Annual Bulletin on selected Retail and Producer Prices” for all island published by the Department of Census and Statistics. Price information given here relates to consumption expenditure on Cereals, Vegetable and other Food and Miscellaneous items and is based on data compiled on a regular weekly and monthly basis and analysed for a variety of statistical purposes. Special reference is given to the compilation of the Colombo Consumers, Price Index (CPPI), based on year, 2006/2007. Reference: Weekly Retail Prices: Colombo District- January to December- 2013
