This report is one of several outcomes of a two year global Gender-based Violence Initiative spearheaded by the Reproductive Health for Refugees Consortium (RHRC) and aimed at improving international and local capacity to address gender based violence (GBV) in refugee, internally displaced, and post conflict settings. The overall objective of this report is to provide a baseline narrative account of some of the major issues, programming efforts and gaps in programming related to the prevention of and response to GBV among conflict affected population worldwide.
