Partition, violence and migration: the case of Miana Gondal
by Salim, A.

The study overview the migration and resettlement in the West Punjab. It focuses particularly on Miana Gondal in the pre and and post partition context making the study unique to the scores of existing works on partition.  This study is an attempt to point out deficiencies and shortcomings in the approach adopted by other researchers by focussing on an individual village of interior Punjab; highlighting the incidents of protecting the lives of the people of other communities in a sophisticatedly knit social fabric and the role of economy in the financial hierarchy.
