The objective of this research was to compile a report on violations and abuse of child rights. This research was conducted through extensive fieldwork, obtaining data from institutions involved with the care, support and training of children. In addition, this report endeavors to analysis the findings obtained, with the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child of 1989 (CRC), the Children Charter of 1991 and domestic legislation related to children rights in Sri Lanka.

මෙම පර්යේශණයේ අරමුණ වුයේ ළමා අයිතිවාසිකම් අනිසි ලෙස භාවිතා කිරීම සහ උල්ලංඝණය කිරීමට අදාළව වාර්තාවක් සකස් කිරීම මෙම පර්යේෂණය ඉතා  පුළුල් මෙන්ම සංකීර්ණ ක්ෂේත්‍ර අධ්‍යයනයක් හරහා සිදු කර ඇත. එහිදී ළමා ආරක්ෂාව ළමුන්ට අවශ්‍ය සපයන සේවා සැපයීම, පුහුණුව සපයන ආයතනවලින් දත්ත එකතුකර ඇත. ඊට අමතරව 1989 එළිදක්වනු ලැබු ළමා හිමිකම් ආරක්ෂණ සමුතියෙහි අන්තර්ගත කරුණු විශ්ලේෂණය කිරීමද, 1991 සම්මත කරන ලද ජාත්‍යන්තර ළමා අයිතිවාසිකම් හා සම්බන්ද විවිධවූ නීතී හා රෙගුලාසි විශ්ලේෂණය කර ලිපි සකස්කර ඇත.

சிறுவா; உhpமைகளின் மீறல் மற்றும் துஷ்பிரயோகம் மீதான ஒரு அறிக்கையை தொகுப்பதே இந்த ஆய்வின் நோக்கமாகும். இந்த ஆய்வானது விhpவான வெளிக்கள ஆய்வூஇ பராமாpப்பில் சிறுவா;களின் உதவி மற்றும் பயிற்சி என்பவற்றினூடாக மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. இதை விடஇ இவ்வறிக்கையானதுஇ பெறப்பட்ட தரவூகளை 1989 சிறுவா; உhpமை உடன்படிக்கைஇ 1991 சிறுவா; குணாம்சம் மற்றும் இலங்கையில் சிறுவா; உhpமைகள் தொடா;பான சட்டவாக்கம் என்பவற்றிற்கு அமைவாக அலசுகிறது.
