Part one of this report contains the analysis of the case studies on child rights violations carried out in six locations. Part two of this report addresses issues that are relevant to the discharge of the responsibilities of the State and civil society as recognised world wide by the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child to ensure protection of children. The field study included sixty five children whose rights had been violated and twenty-five children placed in similar conditions but whose rights have not been violated to serve as a control group.

මෙම කෘතියෙහි පළමු කොටස මගින් ස්ථාන හයක සිදු කරන ලද ළමා අයිතිවාසිකම් උල්ලංඝන සිද්ධි අධ්‍යයනයන් විශ්ලේෂණයක් අඩංගු වේ. ළමුන්ගේ ආරක්ෂාව තහවුරු කිරීම සඳහා එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ ළමා හිමිකම් පිළිබඳ ප්‍රඥප්තියෙන් හඳුනාගෙන ඇති පරිදි රජය හා සිවිල් සමාජයේ වගකීම් ඉටු කිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් පවතින ගැටලු මෙම වාර්තාවේ දෙවන කොටස මගින් ආමන්ත්‍රණය කරයි.  ක්ෂේත්‍ර අධ්‍යයනය සඳහා අයිතිවාසිකම් උල්ලංඝනය වූ ළමුන් 65ක් යොදා ගත් අතර ඒ හා සමාන තත්ත්වයේම සිටින නමුත් අයිතිවාසිකම් උල්ලංඝනය නොවූ ළමුන් 25ක් ද පාලක කණ්ඩායම ලෙස යොදාගැ‍නිණි.
