The article gives a good analysis of the economic growth of Sri Lanka based on the 2003-2008 time period. The sources of growth have been identified in order to asses the economic growth. Prominence is given to the per capita income as well. The report makes use of Household Income and Expenditure Survey (HIES) and other relevant surveys undertaken by the Department of Census and Statistics. Statistics are provided for the GDP Shares (based on GDP at current prices) by Sector and Sub-Sector
