This is the 56th volume of the series ‘Cost of cultivation of agricultural crops’ published by the Socio Economics and Planning Centre of the Department of Agriculture, Peradeniya. This publication is based on data collected from 36 surveys conducted during 2008/09 maha in different agro-ecological zones. It describes the methodology adopted, comprises of summery analysis for paddy and other field crops and contains the details of costs, returns and other related information.
