This field report is based on the training of trainers workshops on population planning, the first of which was conducted in the Ihala Guruwela and Weeragaswewa villages of the Angunakolapelessa DS Division in the Hambantota district. The workshop aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of participants in using participatory methods for rural development. The report includes and introduction to the workshops and profiles of the two villages consisting of the geographical location, demographic and socio-economic characteristics, agricultural activities and resource development and a development plan for the village.
