This report, a collaborative effort between Women’s World Banking and UNDP was prepared at the request of the Donors committee on Small Enterprise and the Working Group on Financial Sector Development. The report distills questionnaire responses by 25 microfinance managers and advisors from 18 donor organizations and from 13 leading microfinance practitioner perceptions, discusses implications for institutional development and technical assistance (TA) strategies, and suggests potential next steps in building best practice.
