This publication reports and analyses the outcome of the Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices Survey (KAPS II) 2004. This survey aimed to determine the changes in public opinion that might have occurred in the country in response to the past year's events. This was carried out by interviewing a probability sample of 3,513 persons. It shows a reinforced sentiment and demand for peace, and reveals the public willingness to accept some 'trade offs' in order to come to a final settlement. They also appear to be more willing to protest if the peace agreement arrived at is seen as unfair.
