This booklet "Learning Circles" introduces under various themes, methods of providing opportunities for the child to learn either on his/her own initiative or with friends of similar age, without any pre-planning or influence by adults. This booklet provides a guideline to both teachers and parents, especially through the Early Childhood Development Centres, on how necessary materials are made available for play activities, how children are given the freedom to handle and utilize such materials appropriately, in keeping with their age, their developmental requirements and their likes and dislikes within a specified time frame.
