This is a document of a series of ten under the topic Lessons Learned during Twelve Years of Wetland Work in Sri Lanka. This focuses on fishery, which is the mainstay of livelihood for the majority of families residing in villages at the periphery of the Negombo Lagoon and along the northern border of the Muthurajawela Marsh. The publication includes an introduction, a description of the intervention concerned with: objectives, expected effects, the present situation, the future, conflicts and their resolution, community empowerment and gender, budget information, tips for replication, background materials and also the format, case studies and annexes with technical information

මෙය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ තෙත් බිම් ආශ්‍රිත ක්‍රියාවන්හිදී අවුරුදු 12ක කාලයක් තුලදී ලබාගත් ආදර්ශයන් යනුවෙන් පෙළ ගැසුණු කොටස් දහයකින් සමන්විත කෘතිමාලාවක එක්කොටසකි. මෙමගින් මීගමු කලපු සීමාවේ ගම්මානයන්හි සහ මුතුරාජවෙල වගුරුබිමෙහි උතුරු සීමාවෙහි ජීවත්වන බහුතරයක් පවුල් සඳහා ප්‍රධාන ජීවනෝපාය මාර්ගයවන ධීවර කර්මාන්තය පිළිබඳ අවධානය යොමු කරයි. හැඳින්වීමක්, මැදිහත්වීම පිළිබඳ විස්තරයක්,  අරමුණු, අපේක්‍ෂිත ප්‍රතිඵල, වත්මන් තත්වය, අනාගතය, ගැටුම් සහ ඒවායෙහි නිරාකරණය, ප්‍රජා බලගැන්වීම සහ ස්ත්‍රී පුරුෂ සමාජභාවය, අයවැය තොරතුරු, ප්‍රති ගුණනය සඳහා උපදෙස්, පසුබිම් ලේඛන මෙන්ම ආකෘතිය, සිද්ධි අධ්‍යයන සහ තාක්‍ෂණික උපදෙස් සමග ඇමුණුම්ද මෙහි ඇතුලත් වේ.
