This report, a profile of the North Western Province is intended to provide a wealth of information to the provincial level authorities, educational planners and officers, students and the general public. This is primarily aimed at assessing how the grade four pupils have performed in each subject by school type, medium of instruction, location of school (urban and rural), province and district, gender and relative to all island achievement. Based on the findings, a few general conclusions have been drawn and suggestions given for necessary future improvements.
