“Pivithuru suwapiyasa” is a provincial program for managing of healthcare waste in western province. Through this programme, Waste Management Authority expects to minimise generation of infectious hazardous waste in daily municipal waste stream. This booklet gives an understanding on the general guidelines for the healthcare waste management.
