This volume refers to the 01^st International Symposium held on April 19^th-21^st, 2011 on ‘Post-war economic development through science, technology and management’ by the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka. This volume consists of over 190 abstracts, under the theme of the symposium which had been presented at the symposium with the objective of providing an open and neutral forum for researchers to present and debate their research findings to the academia, policy formulators, planners and implementers.
