This publication aims to provide public awareness of disaster preparedness, especially reduce the harassment for the women in such natural disaster situations. It shares information on tsunami experiences, guidelines to be followed by women in a natural disaster situation, issues of sexual harassment and guidelines in relief camps. The document also lists the most common natural disasters in Sri Lanka and directions and laws currently enforced on behalf of the women.
