This publication aims to provide a public awareness on the issues related to the renewal of Sri Lanka’s status as a beneficiary country of GSP Plus trade scheme of the European Commission.  This critically evaluate the status of Sri Lanka: whether the country has been adherent to ratify international conventions on human rights, labour rights and environmental standards according to the agreement and whether Sri Lanka has achieved the benchmarks on human rights and labour rights according to the international standards.  In addition it deals with several key areas that have been the subject of particularly intensive debate regarding the renewal of GSP Plus for Sri Lanka.
