This directory comprises the profiles of over 700 Environmental Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) that are spread across Sri Lanka. In addition to the comprehensive profile, it also has a fact file for each province with information on the population, literacy rate, number of environmental NGOs, principal dams etc. The directory also has the names and contact details of the most influential environmental NGOs in the country and of the Environmental Information Centres. This has been complied by a research editorial team mobilised by the Sri Lanka Environmental Journalists Forum (SLEJF). SLEJF’s aim is to promote sustainable development and encourage awareness amongst the public.
